Filming Starts On Series Three Of BBC One’s ‘Our Girl’!

Filming has started on series 3 of 'Our Girl'!

Written and created by Tony Grounds and made by BBC Studios for BBC One, filming has begun on the third series of Our Girl. With Michelle Keegan (Ordinary Lies, Tina and Bobby) returning as Corporal Georgie Lane, and introducing Shalom Brune-Franklin (Barracuda, Crossing The Border) as Private Maisie Richards.

In an ambitious 12-part series commission, Our Girl series three will comprise of three separate missions: in the first, to be transmitted on BBC One later this year, Georgie finds herself on a relief mission in Nepal following a devastating earthquake which has had hazardous and unpredictable consequences.

Luke Pasqualino (The Musketeers, Skins) will return as Special Forces officer Elvis Harte, alongside Ben Aldridge (Lark Rise To Candleford, Fleabag) as Captain James. Two Section will include Rolan Bell (EastEnders) as Kingy, Sean Sagar (Top Boy) as Monk, Simon Lennon (Grantchester) as Brains, Sean Ward (Coronation Street) as Fingers, Mark Armstrong as Spanner, Dwane Walcott as Peanut and Ashley Houston as Dyno. New cast include Rudi Dharmalingam (Rellik) as Milan and Harki Bhambra (Two Doors Down) as Rab.

Series three will be directed by Tim Fywell (River, Happy Valley) and Jon Wright (Ordinary Lies, The Good Karma Hospital), produced by Tim Whitby (Shameless) and executive produced by Tony Grounds and Caroline Skinner for BBC Studios, and Christopher Aird for BBC.
