Lewis Arnold on set!

Hey folks!

I am ridiculously EXCITED to announce my next Act On This podcast guest - Broadchurch director Lewis Arnold!

On Friday 7th October, I'll be jumping on a train down to Encore in the heart of Soho, to get Lewis in front of the mic, whilst he has a break from editing the 3rd series of the smash hit drama!

The reason I am so excited about this podcast is because Lewis is the real deal.

I have seen this guy working his tail off for the past 7 years - going from 1st AD on promos and commercials, to doing an MA in directing fiction at the National Film and Television School, to landing his TV directorial debut on Misfits.

Since then, Lewis has directed the awesome Humans, E4's Banana, ITV's smash hit Prey, and now the behemoth that is Broadchurch!

There has been no luck here, this guy has put in the hustle. I worked with Lewis in the casting suite when he was auditioning actors for Banana and he's a pleasure to audition for - a real actors' director.

He's always up for taking chances on new talent and is an all-round top bloke.

This is YOUR opportunity to ask Lewis ANYTHING you like on directing and casting high-profile TV drama - and it's an opportunity NOT to be missed!

Obviously, Mr. Lewis won’t be free to discuss any Broadchurch story plot points, etc., but could he please share a few anecdotes from during filming, particularly of any funny interactions between the actors involved? Thanks!

    Hey Lewis,
It’s clear from the workshop you did at Act4TV last month that you certainly know your stuff and how actors work/how to get the best out of an actor. I learned so much it was truly invaluable, my question is have you ever thought about acting? Being in front of the camera as you know so much about how to get a great performance? If yes why don’t you? And if not why not?
Also please keep me in mind for any cheeky chappy roles you may have coming up in the future.
    Many Thanks

  • Can’t wait for Lewis’s interview on Monday. A long time since we worked together and I’m thrilled to bits that he’s directing Broadchurch. Really looking forward to seeing where he goes next. If ever anyone deserved success it’s him. Along with a few others I’ve known he stays in the memory
